JMM President Sibu Soren escapes attempt on life
Ranchi, June 25 (UNI) Jailed former union minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) president Sibu Soren today escaped unhurt when two bombs were thrown at his convoy in Deoghar while returning from Giridih after being produced in a court there.
Deoghar's Superintendent of Police Manoj Kaushik told UNI over the phone that no one was hurt in the bombings near Dumaria village at the Madhupur-Deoghar main road under Sarath police station area.
Mr Kaushik said two bombs were hurled on the convoy and four persons had been detained for questioning.
The JMM supremo was returning to Dumka Central Jail after being produced in a Giridih court in the Kudko murder case in which three people were killed in Giridih district in 1974.
