New Delhi, June 25 (UNI) Akali Dal M P and former Union Minister S S Dhindsa today washed his hands of the press conference where a woman, Rajni Patil, had levelled a charge against UPA-Left Presidential nominee Pratibha Patil of subverting a probe into her husband's murder.

Mr Dhindsa said he was not informed that one Rajni Patil wanted to hold a press conference at his residence.

Talking to newspersons at Parliament House where he had accompanied Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat to file his nomination for the July 19 Presidential poll, Mr Dhindsa said Mr Tarlochan Singh and Mr Chandan Mitra, both Rajya Sabha MPs, had spoken to him on telephone as he was away that they wanted to use his premises for a meeting and he had allowed them.

''But they never told me that it will be used for a press conference,'' he said, adding both Mr Singh and Mr Mitra had already apologised for it.

Asked if he was planning some action against them, he said since they had admitted their mistake there was no need to go further on the issue. "Yes, they have lost trust," he added.
