Huge haul of fake currency, 3 ISI agents arrested
New Delhi, Jun 25 (UNI) In a major success against counterfeit currency supply in the country, police made one of the biggest hauls in the Capital so far and arrested three ISI agents from Nizamuddin area of South Delhi this evening.
The three accused -- Mohammad Muslim, Wasim and Naeem -- are agents of Pakistan's ISI network and were arrested following a tip-off outside 'Comesum' restaurant near Nizamuddin railway station at about 1730 hrs, said a senior Special Cell police official.
''The seized amount is Rs 33 lakhs. They are in the denomination of Rs 500 and 1,000.'' It had been concealed in special cavities in cardboard boxes meant for packing silk, said the official.
One of the three had arrived in Delhi from Rajasthan on Thar Express while the other two had come to receive him when the raids led to their arrest, he said.
The seizure is one of the largest made so far in the Capital.
