Four killed, 3 injured and six houses gutted in Kashmir

Srinagar June 25 (UNI) Four people, including a girl, were killed and three others injured while six houses were gutted in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said here today.

Two labourers identified as Ali Mohammad Wani and Fayaz Ahmad Bhat were buried alive under an earth slide at Zari Gund Parraypora in Ganderbal district of central Kashmir.

A girl died when she was hit by a stone at Railpathri, in Ganderbal, sources added.

A police spokesman said a speedy vehicle hit a boy, Showkat Ahmad Wani, at Zainpora, Pulwama, causing his on the spot death.

He said three persons were injured when a truck hit a scooter at Chowkibal in the frontier district of Kupwara. The injured were hospitalised.

Six houses and other structures were gutted in different fire incidents at Solina in Baramulla and Larkpora in south Kashmir district of Anantnag early this morning.
