Education Minister should resign, demands MLC Khotre

Akola, Jun 25 (UNI) MLC and teacher Vasantrao Khotre has demanded resignation of State Education Minister Vasant Purke for dragging Primary school teachers to Supreme Court over the issues of reopening of schools across the State.

Mr Khotre alleged that Mr Purke was responsible for the deteriorating standard of education and the system as a whole in the State.

He was speaking at a felicitation function held yesterday here.

Noted lawyer Ajay from Nagpur was felicitated for arguing the court case and emerging victorious.

The Minister had earlier announced that all schools across Maharashtra should reopen on June 15, which was contested in the court.
