CPI, CPI(M) to intensify protest against land allotment
Visakhapatnam, June 25 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (CPI) and CPI (M) will intensify their agitation against the state government's move to allot land to Jindal Company at Boddavara village and to Ras-AL-Khaima Aluminium Smelter at Makavarapalem mandal.
CPI District Secretary J V Satyanarayana murthy and his CPI(M) counterpart Ch Narasinga Rao told UNI here today that the Left parties would protest against the government's decision to allot land to both the companies.
They alleged that the government had accorded permission to Jindal to set up a bauxite mining plant at Anagtagiri mandal without obtaining the mandatory permission from the Pollution Control Board, Forest and Environment Department.
The Left parties would continue with their agitation till the government withdraw its ''anti people'' activities.
On July 2, the parties would stage protest(''dharnas'') before the mandal offices in Paderu, G Madugula, Chintapalli, G K Veedhi and Koyyuru, demanding 'pattas' (title deeds) for the tribals in the forest areas, they added.
