Bhubaneswar shortlisted for National Institute of Design
New Delhi, Jun 25 (UNI) Union Commerce and Indsutry Minister Kamal Nath today said Bhubhaneswar has been shortlisted as one of the possible locations for setting up a new National Institute of Design.
''Centre will consider the proposal of the State government seriously,'' Mr Nath told Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik who today met here the Union Minister to discuss several issues.
Mr Patnaik informed the Union Minister that Orissa government would provide all the necessary infrastructure support, including land, for setting up the institute.
The Chief Minister also held discussion on the progress made by Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd, a joint venture between Mineral and Metal Trading Corporation (MMTC) and IPICOL, a public sector undertaking of the Orissa government, an Orissa government statement said.
