Ambuja Cement donates Rs one crore for CM Relief Fund

Shimla, June 25 (UNI) Gujarat Ambuja Cements today donated Rs one crore to the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister's Relief Fund, which has been created to provide financial assistance to the economically weaker sections during exigencies.

Company's Vice Chairman Punnet Saran presented a draft of Rs one crore to Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh here.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister thanked the company for its gesture and said it would facilitate the state government to help the poor and the downtrodden during their hour of distress.

Mr Singh also made an appeal to the people of the state to donate liberally to the fund that provides medical facilities to the weaker sections of the society.
