3 jail guards suspended for dereliction of duty

Gonda, June 25 (UNI) Three Gonda district jail guards were today suspended for dereliction of duty.

According to sources, objectionable objects were recovered from the jail after it was inspected by the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police on Saturday.

In this regard, Dharm Pal Singh, Ram Bahadur Verma and Raj Narayan Tiwari have been suspended with immediate effect.

An inquiry has been initiated by Deputy Jailer B B Asthana.

Meanwhile, arrangements were being made to shift the prisoners to some other jail.
