Cases against SDM, 9 others in fake land deal

Neemuch (MP), June 23 (UNI) Police registered cases against former Sub-Divisional Magistrate Virendra Singh Rawat, Tahsildar Dharmaraj Pradhan and eight others in connection with illegal sale of land on the basis of fake decuments at Kanawati village of this district.

The action followed an inquiry, by Additional Collector Subodh Rege, into a complaint lodged by Mr Virendra Singh Dhakad that an agriculture land at the village had been sold on the basis of fake documents showing the land owner, still alive, as dead.

Besides the revenue officials, Rajesh Ajmera, Surendra Jain, Satyanarayan and Ramchandra Sharma were also made accused, official sources said.
