Veteran journalist held for not complying with Labour court order

Hubli, June 22 (UNI) Veteran journalist and former Kannada Watchdog Committee Chairman Patil Puttappa was today arrested for not honouring an order issued by the labour court.

Police said Mr Patil was ordered to pay a sum to an employee of his establishment, a publishing house, by he labour court. But as Mr Patil had failed to make the payment, the employee approached the court for the execution of its order.

An arrest warrant was issued following which Mr Patil was arrested by the Police. He was later released on bail.
