Petroleum Minister Murli Deora to arrive in Kerala tommorrow
Kochi, June 22 (UNI) Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Murli Deora will arrive here tomorrow on a two-day visit to the city.
During his visit, the Minister would meet representatives from Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu on implementation of Ethanol Blended Petrol Programme, official sources said.
On Sunday, Mr Deora would lay the foundation stone of capacity Expansion-cum-Modernisation Project (phase II) of Bharat Petroleum Refinery in Kochi. With this expansion, the Refinery's capacity would increase from 7.5 MMT to 9.5 MMT per annum, sources said.
The project was expected to be completed by 2010. Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan would be the Chief Guest and Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi would preside over the function, sources added.
