Hot conditions back in Delhi, mercury rises to 37.7 Degree C

New Delhi, June 22 (UNI) After nearly a week of pleasant weather, it was back to hot weather for Delhiites with the mercury shooting up to 37.7 degrees Celsius.

The sharp rise in mercury to 37.7 degrees C, from 33.1 degrees C yesterday, coupled with a humidity level of 54 per cent, left the people of Delhi sweltering under the Sun.

With the rains eluding the city for the fourth continuous day, it seemed that hot days are back for Delhiites.

Some relief was, however, provided by the South Easterly winds which lent some coolness in the air.

The sharp rise in mercury comes after a week of cool weather brought about by pre-Monsoon rains last weekend.

Delhiites could be in for hotter days ahead with weatherman forecasting the likelihood of the mercury rising to 38 degrees C mark tomorrow.

The met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in the Capital during the next 24 hours with the likelihood of thundry development in some areas.
