Girl jumps to death in Nehru Place, suicide note found
New Delhi, Jun 22 (UNI) A 24-year-old girl, working with an NGO, allegedly committed suicide by jumping from a highrise in the commercial hub of Nehru Place in South Delhi this afternoon.
The girl, who is yet to be identified, reportedly jumped from the window of the 8th floor of 'Deepali Building' in Nehru Place at about 1530 hrs, said a senior police official.
''About 24-25 years of age, the girl working with 'Emmanuel Hospital Association', an NGO, jumped from the window of Room no 808 on 8th floor. Her identity is yet to be ascertained.'' A suicide note, which mentioned that she was taking her life on her own and that no one was responsible for it, has been recovered, he added.
The multi-storey building houses offices of several big firms.
