CM announces free treatment for injured in Dharamshala accident

New Delhi, June 22 (UNI) Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today announced free treatment in Government and aided hospitals in the capital for the pilgrims injured in the Dharamshala bus accident.

''We will provide free and the best possible treatment in Government and other related Hospitals to those who have been injured in the bus accident at Dharamshala,'' Ms Dikshit said after visiting the families here.

As many as 12 people were killed and 26 injured when a tourist bus, carrying pilgrims from Delhi, veered off the road and plunged into a gorge in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh on June 20.

The Chief Minister, accompanied by MLAs Ramakant Goswami and Rajesh Lilothia, visited the bereaved families in Patel Nagar, Baljit Nagar and Pandav Nagar.

Ms Dikshit assured the families of theinjured that her government would make all efforts to provide proper treatment to the injured.

She has instructed the Health Department officials to ensure all medical assistance to the injured who are being brought back to Delhi.

The Department has deployed ambulances to take injured to the hospitals.
