2 more nominations today for Presidential poll, total reaches 12

New Delhi, Jun 22 (UNI) Two more nominations were today filed for the Presidential polls, taking the total number received so far to 12.

The two contestants who filed their nomination papers today were P L Sharma, resident of Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh and Kripal Singh of of Gautam Budh Nagar (Noida) of Uttar Pradesh.

Both contestants also submitted a certified copy of the electoral roll bearing their names. However, their nomination papers did not contain the name of the required proposers and seconders or the required security deposit.

However, Mr Singh's papers were found to be invalid and rejected, sources said.

With this, four nominations have rejected of the dozen received so far.
