Youth accused of rape of minor

Mumbai, June 21 (UNI) A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth at Nagpada in southcentral Mumbai.

Police said here today that the girl, hailing from Karnataka, had come to Mumbai, along with a friend, on June 19 to meet her aunt.

The relative forced the girl to go with a person by the name Mohammed Jamshad Rasul Jamir Ansari (21).

Late last evening, the police sighted the girl with the youth and picked them up for questioning after suspicion. The girl told her story following which the police have registered a case of rape against the youth yesterday.
