Valuables worth Rs 3.5 lakh looted by 'Kacchha Baniyan' gang

Varanasi, June 21 (UNI) Dreaded 'Kacchha Baniyan' gang struck the Chaubeypur area here early today looting cash and valuables totalling Rs 3.5 lakh from a jeweller's house.

The dreaded gang climbed into the trader's house located near the Chaubeypur police station, police said.

The criminals left the family unconscious with a liquid spray and decamped with jewellery and cash worth Rs 3.5 lakh.

Later, the criminals tried to break into the house of another jeweller, but escaped after the villagers raised an alarm.

A manhunt had been launched to nab the criminals.
