Preity Zinta favours Pratibha Patil for Presidentship

Jaipur, June 21 (UNI) Bollywood actor Preity Zinta has favoured the candidature of UPA presidential nominee Pratibha Patil.

As the NDA and the Third Front continue to bicker over the nomination of Ms Patil, Preity said she supported the idea of India having its first probable woman President.

Preity, who was here to attend a Bravery award function said, '' I support the candidature of Ms Patil. It has nothing to do with politics. It is for the first time that a woman has got the chance to adorn the highest seat of power and I think our country is ready for it''.
