Kerala company signs JV with Chinese firm

Kochi, June 21: City-based Paradise International, dealers in chemical and allied products, has signed a joint venture with Chinese firm Shanxi Lixin Chemical Company Limited (SLCCL) to market the latter's carbon black in various countries, including India.

Talking to reporters here today, Paradise International CEO Ansif Ashraf said the agreement was to market carbon black in India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and the US under the brand name 'ParaChem'.

''SLCCL will manufacture carbon black as per the order placed and it will be sold in these markets by our company,'' he added.

Mr Ashraf said the JV to this effect was recently signed in Bangkok, Thailand.

He said carbon black was used as a colouring material in plastic, printing ink and rubber products, and for coating electric wires.
