HP launches new lifestyle products at Rs 14,000-1.10 lakh
New Delhi, June 21 (UNI) One of the country's leading PC brands, Hewlett-Packard (HP) India today launched the first-of-its-kind lifestyle computers, showcasing the 'irresistible Oomph' of its product range priced between Rs 14,000 and Rs 1.10 lakh.
The product portfolio includes India's first 20-inch-screen entertainment notebook, 'The Dragon' at Rs 1,10,990, the iconic HP TouchSmart at Rs 99,990, HP Pavilion Slimline s3000 series PC at Rs 39,990 and HP iPAQ 512 Voice Messenger at Rs 14,000.
''Under the HP Pavillion umbrella, HP has pioneered the concept of lifestyle computing with the introduction of several category-firsts, making the Ultimate Digital Entertainment experience a reality for the consumer,'' HP India President (Personal Systems Group) Ravi Swaminathan told reporters here.
''The introduction of the new range further strengthens our wide-ranging lifestyle portfolio, and will help us grow the lifestyle computing market by around 50 per cent within this fiscal,'' he added.
Mr Swaminathan said the company will also launch new more products including handheld devices over the next few months.
The HP Pavillion HDX 2000 Series, 'The Dragon', is capable of high resolution, providing a complete audio processor and the HP Triple Bass Reflex subwoofer and a dockable media center remote for TV control. It can expanded by attaching external 501 or 701 surround sound speakers with the integrated audio processor.
The HP TouchSmart has a host of applications such as the HP SmartCalendar and Photosmart and with its unique compatability one can co-ordinate, organise, entertain and connect with a touch of fingertips. It has an enhanced storage space of 320 GB, integrated high-performance stereo speakers and microphone.
Similarly, the HP Pavilion Slimline s3000 series PC is enhanced with a slim, illuminating azure blue panel. The series packs all the power and performance of a standard PC at a third of the size of a normal PC.
The HP iPAQ 512 Voice Messenger has the features like the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 with push email and office applications, which saves time and also has a built-in-camera, MP3 player and video recorder. Now instead of typing, one can just voice his/her email by using the Voice Commander to read out emails and SMS.
The company targets to sell these products among the big entrepreneurs, who are young and people who want to organise their schedule accordingly.
''We have products for every budget and in order to capture the market and understand our customers better, we are ramping up our employee training, store promotion tools and demonstrations, at our every outlet,'' Mr Swaminathan said.
