Heavy rains likely in Goa, Kerala, Orissa, coastal Karnataka

Pune, June 21 (UNI) The Southwest Monsoon has been active in coastal Karnataka and Kerala.

Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and coastal Andhra Pradesh, while heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Orissa, Telangana, Rayalseema, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and at many places in north Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, south Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, east Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and west Rajasthan.

In the regions where Southwest Monsoon is yet to set in, day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Saurashtra and Kutch and were above normal in Gujarat region.

Day temperatures were markedly below normal in Harayana, Punjab, most parts of Rajasthan and in some parts of Himachal Pradesh. They were appreciably below normal in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh.

Heavy rains have occured at most places in Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka, and Kerala, at many places in Gujarat, and at a few places in east Rajasthan and Vidarbha.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Marathwada, Telangana, Andaman and Nicobar islands, Lakshadweep and at many places in Uttaranchal, Chattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, east Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Rayalseema, south interior Karnataka and north interior Karnataka.
