Cost of Kishan Ganga power project revised at Rs 2,400 cr
New Delhi, June 21 (UNI) The Cabinet today revised the cost of the Kishan Ganga Hydroelectric Project at Rs 2,400 crore.
The project is being implemented by the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) on the Jhelum tributary in Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir.
The cost had to be revised in view of the complex nature of the project, including its tunnel, Finance Minister P Chidambaram said.
The revision would result in cost reduction and some savings, the Minister said without specifying the amount.
