CITCO to give Rs 38 lakh as dividend to Chandigarh Administration

Chandigarh, June 21 (UNI) Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation (CITCO) has decided to give Rs 38 lakh as dividend to Chandigarh Administration as a result of its overall good financial performance touching a turnover of Rs 301 crores with profit of Rs 16.95 crores for the year 2006-07 which has surpassed all previous records.

A decision to this effect was taken by Board of Directors in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Home Secretary Krishna Mohan.

According to CITCO Managing Director Jasbir Singh Bir, the Board of Directors highly appreciated its unique initiative to create a Condom Bar at Baithak Kalagram.

Recently, Dr Denis Broune of UN AIDS visited the Condom Bar and appreciated the efforts of CITCO involved in a social cause.

The Board of Directors appreciated the good financial results of CITCO for the year 2006-07 and the consistent endeavours to start new initiatives in the hospitality sector in Chandigarh.
