Workshop on 'Fisheries and a Aquaculture' from tomorrow

Panaji, June 20 (UNI) A three-day zonal workshop on ''Fisheries and Aquaculture'' policy for the west coast states of India will be held here from tomorrow.

The event is being organised by Mumbai-based Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE) in conjunction with the ICAR Research Complex for Goa, and Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra and Union Territories of Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Lakswadweep departments of fisheries.

The workshop will be inaugurated by Mr Eduardo Faleiro, Commissioner, NRI Affairs, Goa while Gujarat Agriculture Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama will be the guest of honour.

The workshop will provide a platform to discuss policy issues.

About 125 participants from Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Daman&Diu, Dadra&Nagar Haveli, and Lakshadweep are expected to participate in the workshop, a press release here said.
