UHBVN energises four new 33 KV sub-stations for Kaithal

Chandigarh, June 20 (UNI) In order to ensure uninterrupted power supply with good voltage in Kaithal district during paddy season, the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) has energised four new 33 KV sub-stations this summer at a cost of Rs. 7.5 crore.

The power transformers of 8 Mega Volt Amperes (MVA) capacity have been installed in each sub-station.

A Nigam spokesman the new sub-stations had been set up at village Manas, Badsui, Urlana and Mahmoodpur area which were known for providing paddy crops to the state pool.

He said 33 KV sub-station Manas and Badsui had been connected with 132 KV sub-station Kaithal and Bhagal respectively.

The sub-stations constructed at Uriana and Mahmoodpur have been connected with 132 KV sub-station Guhla. The Nigam had erected 48 kilometre long new lines for transmission and supply of electricity through these sub-stations.

He said that about 11000 consumers including 2000 tubewell consumers of 20 villages have been benefited by way of quality power supply.
