TN constitutes committee to select SERC member

Chennai, June 20 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu government has formed a committee to select the member for the State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC).

An official release here today said the committee would be headed by retired Justice M Maruthamuthu.

The Chief Secretary and the Chairperson of the Central Electricity Authority, New Delhi, would be the other members.

The appointment of the three-member panel followed the retirement of Commission Member S Thangarathinam on April three this year.
