Third front leaders to meet Vajpayee, Left leaders

New Delhi, June 20 (UNI) In an effort to bring a consensus among political parties to support President A P J Abdul Kalam for a second term, the United National Progressive Alliance (UNPA) leaders will meet former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajapyee and Left leaders.

While a meeting has been fixed at 1830 hrs today with Mr Vajpayee, the UNPA leaders are scheduled to meet CPI(M) General-Secretary Prakash Karat, CPI General-Secretary A B Bardhan and NCP leader Sharad Pawar tomorrow.

Earlier, the UNPA leaders called on Dr Kalam at Rashtrapati Bhawan.
