State to conduct TTBS 2007 in Sep
Thiruvananthapuram, June 20 (UNI) Kerala will conduct a Trade Technology Business Show 2007 (TTBS) in September, aimed at showcasing the agility and knowledge based skills of the small scale industries in the state and attracting buyers from the country and abroad to have interaction with the entrepreneurs.
Announcing this at a press conference here, state Industries Minister Elamaram Kareem told reporters that the TTBS would become a platform for the direct interaction between sellers from the small and medium enterprises sector of Kerala and buyers from all over India and the world.
Another objective of the show was to introduce new technologies to small and medium manufacturers, which could help in increasing their competitiveness, he said. ''Now it is difficult for the small and medium enterprises to access foreign technology and use state-of-the-art equipment,'' Mr Kareem said.
The TTBS would focus on Food and Agro Processing, Ayurveda and Herbal, Coir, Handlooms, Handicrafts, Bamboo and Screw Pine, and Rubber and Rubber products.
About 75 exhibitors would exhibit their machinery and technology in the show, which would consist a buyer-seller meet and a technology exhibition.
The TTBS 2007 would be organised by the Department of Industries in association with Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion, Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation and Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation.
