Six killed, 17 injured in road accident

Tiruvallur, June 19 (UNI) Six people were killed and 17 injured when a state transport bus overturned at Tiruvallur-Sriperumbudur link road near Polivakkam in this district today.

Police said the mishap occurred when the driver of the bus tried to cross over a fallen tree.

The injured were admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital here.

District Collector Ranvir Prasad told UNI that necessary steps were being taken to provide relief to the victims.
