Road blockade against school 'defying' GO on admissions

Puducherry, June 20 (UNI) A few students along with their parents put up a road blockade in front of the Petetit Seminary Higher Secondary School on the Gandhi Road today alleging that the school authorities are violating the government order in respect of Plus One admissions.

They alleged that the school managements were refusing to admit their students for Plus One though the government had issued orders to automatically admit them for the course in the same school and not to treat it as fresh admissions, following a Madras High Court order.

Police intervened and sent them again to the school authorities.

As there was no positive response from the school managements, police asked the agitators to approach the education department to redress their grievances.
