Hyderabad, June 20 (UNI) Expressing concern over alleged grabbing of lands assigned to the Dalits by some 'influential' Congress leaders in Andhra Pradesh, AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh today asked the state government to restore all such lands to them.

Inaugurating the second political training camp for party workers from six districts, Mr Singh asked the workers to identify any such encroachments in their localities and bring it to the notice of the government and the PCC for remedial action.

Recalling the 1977 Assembly elections fought by him in Madhya Pradesh at a time when the ''anti-Congress wave'' was sweeping the state, he said he had thrown a local Congress worker out of the party taking bribes from officials and harrassing the people of his constituency.

As the worker switched over to the Janata Party, he won the elections hands down as the entire village voted for the Congress, he added, urging all party workers to boost the party's image.

Ahead of the meeting, infighting in the party came to the fore when party leader N S Sridhar Reddy had heated argument with Pradesh Congress General Secretary D Nagender after the former was asked to vacate the enclosure meant for VIPs.
