Punjab minister condemns Congress walkout

Chandigarh, June 20 (UNI) Punjab Local Government and Industry Minister Manoranjan Kalia has condemned the decision of the opposition Congress Legislative party to boycott the budget speech of the Finance Minister in the Vidhan Sabha today.

While describing the maiden budget of the SAD-BJP Government, as a people friendly initiative, he said its major thrust was on social services and was aimed at reviving the sagging economy of the state.

Mr Kalia hoped that this budget would go a long way in cherishing the dreams overall development of the public and bringing back the economy back on the rails.
