PoK girl crosses over to India

Jammu, June 20 (UNI) A girl from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), who was allegedly married against her wishes, crossed over to India in Krishna Ghati area of Poonch district this afternoon, official spokesman said.

The girl, identified as Anida Khan, 16, resident of Kathar crossed the LoC, 14 km south of Krishna Ghati and sat about 400 meters from an Indian Post, Defence spokesman Lt Col S D Goswami told UNI.

''She was brought by security personnel to Sunari Gali at 1545 hrs in presence of local civilians and was escorted to police station Mendhar,'' the spokesman said.
