Nagaland: Zonal conference on Media at Dimapur

Kohima, Jun 20: A two-day Zonal Conference on Media and Development will be held at Dimapur from June 21.

The inaugural function would be graced by Nagaland Governor K Sankaranarayanan and chaired by Station Director of All India Radio (Kohima) Ms N Nakhro.

The Directorate of Field Publicity, one of the Media Units of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, is organising the conference,Deputy Director General of Field Publicity Ms A Lassa said here yesterday.

Nagaland Rural Development Minister Noke Konyak, Parliamentary Secretary for Power Doshehe Y Sema and Project Director of Nagaland State AIDS Control Society Dr Neiphi Kire would address the conference on various aspects of media development.

Besides, Director General of Field Publicity (New Delhi) Dipankar Mukhopadhyay would also speak on the occasion.

The conference would be attended by the regional heads of field publicity from Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, North and South Bengal, Sikkim, Asom, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Manipur.
