Municipal employees protest monetary demands by militants

Imphal, Jun 20 (UNI) The employees of the Imphal Municipal Council (IMC) today protested the various militant outfits' demand of share from the taxes collected by the IMC.

The staff of the IMC said that various outlawed organisations have demanded share from the taxes collected by the Council.

The government has decided to privatise the collection of the toll tax and the parking charges.

The Council members have urged all not to impede the affairs of the IMC which was running in losses and to allow it to freely serve the people.
