Man dies trapped under his own truck

Barrackpore, Jun 20 (UNI) A 32-year-old truck driver died after being trapped under his own vehicle on the KMDA Road in North 24 Parganas this morning.

The incident occurred very close to the Jagaddal Railway station.

According to the police, the accident occurred, when the truck, laden with sand tilted and one of its wheels got stuck in a manhole.

The body has been recovered by the police and sent for post mortem.

Meanwhile, a Class 9 student of Kankinara under Jagaddal police station was seriously injured when a running truck rammed him on the Arya Samaj Road.

With head and hand injuries, the victim Shahdat Hossain was admitted to Bhatpara State General hospital.
