Heavy rains likely in Goa, Kerala, Lakshadweep, coastal Karnataka

Pune, June 20 (UNI) The Southwest Monsoon has been active in coastal Karnataka and Kerala.

Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep, while heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Telangana and Rayalseema, and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Gujarat.

In the regions where the Southwest Monsoon is yet to set in, day temperatures were above normal in Saurashtra and Kutch.

Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in Harayana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan and Vidarbha, and were below normal in some parts of Madhya Pradesh.

Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred at most places in coastal Karnataka. Heavy rains have occured at most places in Konkan, Goa, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers have occured at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Telangana and north interior Karnataka.
