Former MLA's son among 4 injured in road accident in Punjab

Sangrur, June 20 (UNI) Four persons including the son of a former Congress MLA were injured when their car collided head-on with an army vehcile near Nankiana gurdwara on Sangrur-Nabha road, near here this evening, police said.

The injured included Jaswinder Singh, son of former MLA Gurjant Singh Kuttiwal, Punjab Police gunman Jasbir Singh, Kulwant Singh and the driver. Jasbir Singh is the gunman of Makhan Singh, Congress MLA from Pacca Kalan.

They were all going to Chandigarh when the accident occurred.

The police has registered a case against the driver of the army vehicle and informed the concerened authorities. The injured have been admitted to a hospital here.
