Efforts to get release of kidnapped Keralite in Nigeria on

Thiruvananthapuram, June 20 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan told the State Assembly today that his government had urged the Indian Embassy in Nigeria to take necessary steps to secure the release of a Keralite, who was kidnapped by terrorists their while working with a Nigerian company.

The government was in touch with the Indian Embassy for securing the release of Murugan, hailing from the city, he said in reply to a submission by Mr V Surendran Pillai.

The Chief Minister said the Delhi office of the Non-Resident Keralite Affairs Department was also in constant touch with the Indian Embassy in Nigeria in this regard.
