Dismissed cop held for battering neighbour to death

Kapurthala, June 20 (UNI) Police have arrested a dismissed constable for allegedly beating to death his neighbour at village Karamjitpur yesterday.

SSP Rakesh Aggarwal told media persons that accused Palwinder Singh called his neighbour Sukhdev Singh to his house through his servant and thrashed him over some dispute.

The badly hurt Sukhdev Singh was rushed to the local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Sultanpurlodhi Police has registered a murder case against Palwinder Singh.
