Delhi Assembly Speaker asks PM to restore glory of Ambedkar memorial

New Delhi, June 20 (UNI) Delhi Assembly Speaker Prem Singh today urged the Prime Minister to restore the pristine glory of B R Ambedkar memorial on Alipur Road, being a place of national importance.

Bringing to his notice the dilapidated condition of the memorial dedicated to Baba Saheb, the Speaker said his followers and admirers were pained after visiting the place for which they had great regard.

In his note to Dr Manmohan Singh, the Speaker also suggested that a stupa be constructed in the honour of Dr Ambedkar where all his belonging could be displayed that will inspire people.
