Mumbai, June 20 (UNI) Dun&Branstreet (D&B), a global business information provider, has entered into a strategic alliance with Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) to provide international certification in banking risk.

Under the pact, D&B will market and provide coaching for GARP's International Certification in Banking Risk and Regulation (ICBRR) to the bank professionals in India, the company said here today.

Speaking to the media, D&B India president and CEO Dr Manoj Vaish said ''With India preparing for Basel-II, this cerification will be very useful to the bankers of India.'' However, the certificate will be initally offered in India, the alliance is applicable to the Indian subcontinent, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bhutan and Mauritius, he added.
