Mumbai, June 20 (UNI) The Bombay High Court today directed the judicial magistrate concerned to enquire into the suspicious death of an accused while in custody of Wadala police station and forward his report within two months.

On February 18 last year, the Wadala police had detained Vinod Chandawarkar persuant to a complaint of harassment lodged by his wife Sangeeta. On the same day, Vinod was found dead in the toilet of the police custody. He had allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in the toilet.

Acting on a writ petition by Sangeeta, the High Court, earlier, had ordered a second post-mortem on Vinod's body. The second post-mortem did not reveal or mention any marks on the neck that would suggest death by hanging.

Sangeeta again approached the High Court and sought a probe into the death of her husband. Accordingly, a division bench comprising Justices Ranjana Desai and Dilip Bhosale directed the Judicial Magistrate to complete the inquiry within two months.
