BSP hatching conspiracy against SP leaders: Shivpal

Lucknow, June 20 (UNI) Senior Samajwadi Party leader and state unit general secretary Shivpal Singh Yadav today lambasted the Mayawati led-Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) government in Uttar Pradesh for hatching a conspiracy against SP leaders.

''The newly-elected Mayawati government is working half-heartedly and plotting against senior SP leaders,'' Mr Yadav asserted while addressing newspersons here.

Within a month, the BSP has registered several concocted cases against our party workers and sent many of them to jail, he alleged.

Mr Yadav said former urban development minister Mohd Azam Khan and president of Rampur Municipal Corporation had been booked under fake cases by Mayawati, ''which will not be tolerated anymore.'' Indicating to stage protests if such things did not stop, Mr Yadav further blamed the BSP government for taking away the security of SP leaders, which had posed threat to their life.
