Sunny day after 4 days of clouds, rain but weather remains pleasant

New Delhi, June 19 (UNI) After basking in cool weather over the last few days following a generous bounty of pre-Monsoon showers, it was back to dry weather for Delhiites today with the Sun shining clear and bright.

With the Sun emerging from behind the clouds, it was a predominantly sunny day for people of Delhi, with a brief period of cloudy weather in the afternoon, resulting in a rise in maximum temperature in the city to 34.1 Degree Celsius, from 30.7 Degree C yesterday.

Despite a rise in mercury, the weather remained pleasant as the maximum of 34 Degree C was still five degrees below normal.

More dry weather could be in the offing for Delhiites in the coming days with the influence of the Easterlies, which have brought about the pre-Monsoon showers since Friday, on the wane. At the same time, the weather is expected to remain comfortable with the maximum hovering around the 34 degrees C mark.

The met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi in the next 24 hours with the possibility of rain or thundershowers accompanied by squall in some areas They have forecast a rise in maximum temperature to 35 degrees C tomorrow.

Delhi has in the last few days witnessed many spells of pre-Monsoon showers, accompanied by thundershowers, which cooled down the Capital over the weekend gone by, with the maximum temperature plummeting to the month's lowest of 30.7 Degree C, ten degrees below normal.
