Sugar prices recover on good demand

Navi Mumbai, June 19 (UNI) Sugar prices recovered on good demand, traders at the Vashi Sugar Merchant's Association today said.

Sugar in small and medium grades edged up by Rs six and Rs ten per quintal respectively, on higher advices.

Ex-mill small and medium grades also shot up by Rs 10 and Rs 15 per quintal respectively owing to reduced stock supply.

Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,314/1,346, Medium grade: Rs 1,350/1,400, Ex-mill small grade: Rs 1,280/1,315, Medium grade: Rs 1,340/1,370.
