SRECCS to open new branch in Chennai: Ramalingam

Tiruchirapalli, June 19 (UNI) The Southern Railway Employees Co-operative Credit Society Limited (SRECCS) of the Indian railways would open a new branch in Chennai shortly, SRECCS Managing Director S Ramalingam told newspersons here today that SRECCS had three branches at Thiruvananthapuram, Coimbatore and Madurai. The new branch for Chennai will be started before end of this year.

The SRECCS has already urged the Divisional Railway Manager in Chennai to allocate a land for setting up a new branch.

The new branch for Chennai will be started before end of this year. The construction work was already underway, he said.

The society presently has all the railway employees enlisted covering Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Union Territory of Puducherry and a portion of Karnataka.

He claimed that this was only co-operative institution offering loans at a lowest rate of interest.
