Somnath reconstitutes Press Advisory Committee

New Delhi, June 19 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee has reconstituted the 27-member Press Advisory Committee of the Lower House by inducting 15 new members, including four as office bearers, for 2007.

Ms Saroj Nagi, Hindustan Times, is being nominated as the Chairman, while Anant Bagaitkar (Saakal) will be Vice Chairman, Javed Ansari (Divya Bhaskar) Secretary and Suresh Bafna (Nai Dunia), the Joint Secretary.

The other members in the committee includes Ms Kalyani Shankar (Long and distinguished Services), C K Nayak (Shillong Times), D Umapathy (Kannada Prabha), P Mohandas (UNI), A Thangavel (Dinamani), Sunil Gatade (PTI), Manoranjan Bharati (NDIV), P R Prashant (Asianet), Sanjeev Acharya (Pragativadi), K Kailash (Andhra Bhoomi), Aroop Sen (Ganashakti).

The other members are Hasan Shuja (Daily Sahafat), Dinesh Sharma (Amrita Prabhat), Rahul Mahajan (Star News), Ashish Gupta (Asomiya Pratidin), Venkatesh Kesari (The Asian Age), Nirmal Pathak (Dainik Bhaskar), Shahid Pervez (The Statesman), Subash Chandra Nigam (Univarta), Shankar Animesh (Sahara TV), Ms Naresh Kaushik (PTI Bhasha), Thomas Dominic (Malayala Manororama) and Usha Srivastava (Rajasthan Patrika).
