Soldier's wife raped in J

Jammu, Jun 19 (UNI) The wife of an Army Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) was allegedly raped by an unidentified person at Bari Brahamana military residential complex in the outskirts of the city early today, police sources said.

The victim, identified as Rekha Devi, 25, wife of Lance Naik Vinod Kumar of Raj puttana Rifles (RAJ RIF), was sexually assaulted at around 0300hrs when her husband was out on duty, sources said.

However, she could not identify the assailant, police said, adding that a case has been registered and the matter is being investigated.

The army has also instituted a Court of Inquiry (CoI) to probe the incident, sources said.
